A Poet Laureate is a venerated position, awarded to one with both the intrinsic skills to face the daunting void of a blank page and the willingness and courage to serve a community through the written word.

Our Poet Laureate Responsibilities:
The 40 West Poet Laureate will conduct youth, family-friendly and/or senior activities or workshops in our community. They will also will submit original works that support district programming.
