40 West Arts is a state-certified Colorado Creative District located along historic West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood. We work to support and promote Lakewood’s West Colfax as a vibrant arts, cultural & economic destination.

40 West Arts is located in Lakewood, CO along historic West Colfax Avenue. We are a City and West Metro amenity, serving our community through free arts programming. 40 West Arts works to reduce barriers to accessing the arts and increase equitability in the arts through everything we do.
40 West Gallery
40 West Arts District manages and operates 40 West Gallery, an inclusive community exhibition space in the heart of the creative district off Lakewood’s West Colfax Ave. The gallery is a great space for starting First Friday Art Walks and for new and professional artists to showcase their work.

The 40 West ArtLine
The 40 West ArtLine is a 4-mile walking and biking arts experience in the heart of the State-Certified 40 West Arts Creative District near historic West Colfax Avenue and the RTD W Line in Lakewood, Colorado.
This free outdoor gallery experience follows sidewalks, bike and park paths, and local streets and can be visited in sections or in its entirety. Supported by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the ArtLine launched in 2018 after years of planning, and is envisioned to eventually become the longest continuous arts experience in Colorado.
