The newest exhibition at Denver International Airport (DEN) presents a piece of Colorado history worth bragging about – Colfax Avenue.

The Colfax Avenue: The Longest Continuous Street in the USA exhibit will be on display through June 2019. It is located on Ansbacher Hall in the Jeppesen Terminal, Level 6 North, before A Bridge Security. Historical and modern artifacts in the exhibit tell just a portion of the Colfax Avenue story. If only the featured neon signs, murals, old road signs and photographs could talk.

A cruise through the Colfax Avenue: The Longest Continuous Street in the USAexhibit highlights those who share its history and its long-standing grit and reputation as one of the most notorious roadways in America. The exhibit also gives accolades to those who have worked to preserve its history.

About DEN’s Arts Program

The DEN Arts Program administers the City and County of Denver’s “one percent for art” ordinance which enhances public places and features nearly 40 site-specific works including sculptures, murals and other installations. The pieces are displayed in outdoor landscapes, inside Jeppesen Terminal and on airport concourses, as well as in the train tunnels and on the train itself. In addition to its permanent art collection, DEN curates temporary exhibitions, collaborating with museums, cultural institutions and arts organizations to present the highest quality two- and three-dimensional work.
