AAA Colorado was originally founded in 1922 under the name Rocky Mountain Motorists. Rocky Mountain Motorists became part of AAA in 1924, a little more than 20 years after the association was created in in Chicago in 1902 by nine American motoring clubs. At that point, AAA had 1,500 members. Since AAA's founding, the not-for-profit, fully tax-paying AAA has been a leader and advocate for the safety and security of all travelers.
An active partner of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), The Creativity Lab of Colorado is a collection of collaborative capabilities centered around creativity, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit. A public-private 501(c)3 nonprofit, The Lab was formed in 2015 in 40 West Arts District (Lakewood, CO) and is supported by Colorado Creative Industries and other community partners. It serves students and start-ups, emerging entrepreneurs and existing businesses, and creatives and community leaders through three focus areas: the Creative Business Incubator, the Community Design Studio, and the Institute for Creative Community Leadership.
I cannot remember a time when I didn't draw or paint. I still have a doodle started in middle school that I filled in over the years and pencil drawings from high school; watercolors and drawings, pen and ink and sketches from college and grad school. Oh, and the acrylic and oil paintings that decorate our home. I love art. I love learning about art and artists. I love detailing the world around me and dreaming about what could be. Sometimes images pop into my head or something swirls around in there and just needs to get out and find its voice.
I subscribe to the notion that the places where we live influence how we view the world and our role in it. After relocating from Nebraska to Colorado in 2005, my view of the world suddenly became clearer. My husband and I quickly “put down roots” and never looked back. Today, we continue to appreciate and partake in all that greater Denver offers, from sports and entertainment to community causes that align with our own interests and passions. From our home in the Green Mountain area, where we live with our adopted feline friends, Belle, Mari, and Emily, we can say with certainty that we have reached our destination. I look forward to helping you reach yours.
Lakewood's approach to economic development is as unique as our community. We focus on facilitating appropriate real estate development and infrastructure, while maintaining our regional competitiveness, promoting environmental and economic sustainability, encouraging diverse job growth, assisting small businesses and maintaining our strong local employment base. The Economic Development Division is dedicated to sustaining a strong economic base while maintaining our community’s quality of life and vitality.
Coffee, craft beer, food and wine, all in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Fine art printing is what we do. You have likely worked with print-makers who “also do” fine art printing along with work with a plethora of other types. Editions and on-offs are what we specialize in – it’s our focus and not an afterthought. Your art prints are treated like art, not printed along-side family photos.
The West Colfax Community Association (WCCA) is a coalition of citizens, business owners, community leaders, and local organizations working together to foster and sustain an engaged community and the economic vitality of the West Colfax corridor.
