40 West Arts: Sculpture Loan Program
Submit your sculpture to be considered for our sculpture loan program.
Summary:
40 West Arts has ongoing opportunities for on-loan sculptures to be placed within local businesses, along the West Colfax corridor, and in other district locations. If you submit sculptures for display, we will keep your information on file to present to clients when they have sculpture needs. Please note that you will only hear back from us if there is interest in your sculpture, but do not hesitate to reach out to our staff with any questions or inquiries.
Loan Period:
Loan periods are generally from six months to one year, depending on the specific site and individual business requirements.
Loan Stipend:
Loan stipends generally range from $750 - $1000 per sculpture. Of course, you will always have the opportunity to review all sculpture loan specifications before agreeing to a project.
Sculpture Requirements:
You are welcome to submit any sculpture for review but please note that in general, sculptures are displayed in high traffic environments which means that they must be (a) appropriate for a wide range of audiences and all-age groups and (b) should not have protruding elements that could injure patrons or invite climbing on the sculpture.
Loan Requirements:
As the artist, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Ensure that the sculpture is ready to put on display. The sculpture must be complete, structurally safe, and able to withstand required conditions (site specific). Sculptures must be clean and free of any sharp or abrasive elements sticking out.
2. You are responsible for all logistics related to sculpture installation and deinstallation including transportation of sculpture to and from the site, delivery, assembly, supervision during assembly and deinstallation, site cleanup, full installation, and all equipment, property, or other persons needed to effectuate the project.
