Colorado Mills Partners with 40 West Arts for 2020
The partnership started in 2019 with Colorado Mills moves forward into 2020 with a new program.
Two iconic Lakewood West Colfax businesses – Colorado Mills and 40 West Arts partnered together in early 2019 to bring art to Colorado Mills with sculptures, a gallery hallway a mural installation to enjoy while you shop. Now, that engaging art experience moves forward in 2020 with more exciting art opportunities.
The year 2019 featured several art installations and a gallery in hallway 4.5 as part of the 50 for 50 showcase, featuring 50 works celebrating the City of Lakewood’s 50th anniversary. A mural by artist Katy Casper was also installed, as well as several sculpture pieces by artists Nestor Fedak and Greg Wasil.
Looking Forward
Next year is set to boast even more incredible art opportunities, including the installation of a new sculpture by Greg Wasil that is a district fan favorite (hint: it’s very tall and very shiny). This local favorite and a few of the current sculptures by Nestor Fedak and Greg Wasil are set to remain up until spring of 2020 - so don’t miss your chance to see them before they’re gone!

Gallery in Hallway 4.5
Hallway 4.5 has also been dedicated as a permanent gallery space and is set to host rotating work for sale by local 40 West Artists.
